The journey begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains. The destination is the charming village of Imlil, which is a popular starting point for many treks across the Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival in Imlil, you will meet your Berber team, which includes a guide, a cook, and muleteers. The team will help you prepare for your two-day trek, which will take you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Morocco.

Your first day of trekking will take you in the direction of Tizi Mzzik pass, where you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After descending from the pass, you will make your way into the Azzaden valley, where you will spend the night in a simple Berber village. This will be a unique opportunity to experience the daily life of the Berbers, who have lived in the Atlas Mountains for centuries.

On the second day of your trek, you will continue your descent down the valley, making your way towards the final destination of Ouirgane. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore more scenic landscapes and encounter more Berber villages. The trek will end in Ouirgane, where you can relax and reflect on the amazing experience of the past two days. Day 1Trekking from Marrakech to Tizi Oussem via Tizi M'zzik

You will be picked up from Marrakech and driven to the village of Imlil, which is known as the starting point for many treks across the Atlas Mountains. Once you arrive in Imlil, you will meet your team which includes a guide and a cook. You will then start your trek from the Imlil valley towards Tizi Oussem.

The trek will take about five hours and will take you over the Tizi M’zzik Mountain pass which stands at an elevation of 2540 meters. From there, you will descend into the spectacular valley of Azzaden. You will spend the night in the village of Tizi Oussem, which has a guest house known as a “gite” where you can relax and recharge for the next day’s trek.

After lunch, you will have the option of taking a side trip to the Ighouliden waterfalls which are nearby. This is a great opportunity to take in the stunning scenery and witness the beauty of the waterfalls firsthand.

Day 2Tizi Oussem - Tiziane - Azerfsane - Tassa Ouirgane

After a hearty breakfast in Tizi Oussem, start your trek through the scenic landscape of the Atlas Mountains. The trail leads through Tiziane and Azerfsane villages, where you can observe the daily life of the Berber people and their traditional way of living. The route takes you through a nature reserve that is home to the endangered Barbary sheep.

Stop for a delicious lunch at a scenic spot along the way before continuing on to Tassa Ouirgane, which is approximately 1.5 hours away. The final stretch of the trek takes you through olive groves and several more Berber villages.

Arrive in the center of Ouirgane, where you can relax and take in the stunning surroundings. This marks the end of your 2-day trek through the Atlas Mountains.
