Morning:
Early departure from Marrakech for a scenic 1h30 drive through the Moulay Brahim gorge to Imlil (1,740 m), the main trailhead of Mount Toubkal. Meet your licensed mountain guide and mule team, organize equipment, and begin the trek along the Ait Mizane Valley. The trail climbs steadily through terraced fields, walnut groves, and the traditional Berber village of Aremd.
Afternoon:
Continue ascending to the sacred Sidi Chamharouch shrine (2,500 m), an important local pilgrimage site. After a rest and lunch break, the trail becomes more alpine as you enter the high mountain zone. The path steepens through rocky terrain and glacial valleys before reaching the refuge.
Evening:
Arrive at the Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m) in the late afternoon. Rest, hydrate, and acclimatize. Dinner is served early to prepare for the summit climb. Your guide will brief you on the next day’s ascent and safety conditions.

Very early start (~5:00 am). Begin the steady climb to the Mount Toubkal Summit (4,167 m). The route follows a zigzag trail across scree slopes and high-altitude terrain. In winter, crampons may be required. After 3–4 hours, reach the summit and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views — north toward Marrakech and the Haouz plains, south toward the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara Desert horizon.
Morning:
Take time at the summit to absorb the views and celebrate the achievement. Begin the descent back to the refuge for a short rest and refreshments.
Afternoon:
Continue the long descent down the Ait Mizane Valley, passing again through Sidi Chamharouch and the mountain villages before reaching Imlil (1,740 m). Meet your driver.
Return:
Transfer back to Marrakech, arrival around 5:00–6:00 pm.
