The 3 Valleys 3-Day Trek is one of the best ways to experience the authentic High Atlas Mountains without climbing Toubkal. This gentle circuit connects three of the most scenic valleys in the region — the Imlil Valley (Ait Mizane), the Imenane Valley, and the Azzaden Valley — crossing mountain passes, visiting remote Berber villages, and walking through walnut groves, terraced fields, and juniper forests.
Starting from Marrakech, you transfer to Imlil (1,740 m) and trek east over the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,279 m) into the Imenane Valley for your first night. Day two traverses south through the valley and over the Tizi n’Aguersioual pass into the Azzaden Valley. The final day returns to Imlil via the classic Tizi M’zzik pass (2,489 m) with panoramic views of Mount Toubkal.
The entire route lies within the Toubkal National Park (established 1942). This is an easy to moderate trek, suitable for families with children, first-time trekkers, and anyone wanting a peaceful immersion into Berber mountain culture. Most of the route is also accessible by mule for those who prefer to ride. For a more challenging option, see our 3-day Toubkal summit trek via Azzaden Valley.
Imlil Trek operates under Extra Mile Travel (License #16D/19), a licensed Moroccan tour operator based in the Imlil valley with over a decade of experience organizing treks in the Toubkal National Park.
Note: Prices are for the 2026 season and may increase during the winter season and in periods of snow. Additional costs may apply due to extra logistics, including the use of porters and additional mountain guides required for safety and equipment transport.
