Embark on a thrilling journey from Marrakech to the majestic Atlas mountains, traveling through Tahannaoute and Moulay Brahim Gorges on the way to Imlil. Meet your Berber team, including your guide, cook, and muleteers, before beginning your trek through the Tizi n Tinzert pass and into the breathtaking Ouirgane Valley. Stay at a comfortable guesthouse and take in the stunning surroundings.
On day two, trek through the picturesque Azzaden valley, passing by numerous Berber villages and ending up in the charming village of Ait Aissa. Relax and rejuvenate with a traditional Hamam and an afternoon spent on the Azzaden Trekking Lodge roof terrace.
Day three takes you to the awe-inspiring valley of Imlil, where you will stay at the Dar Adrar Guesthouse and immerse yourself in the local culture. The final day of the journey follows a circular route via the Imnane valley, trekking over the Tizi Tamater and Tizi n Agersioual passes. Enjoy a relaxing lunch by the river before being transported back to Marrakech, with memories of this unforgettable adventure to last a lifetime.

On the first day of your trek, you will arrive at Imi Oughlad (1,450m), where you will leave the vehicle on the road up towards Imlil and meet your Berber muleteer and guide. This day will be an easier aclimatisation trek in the Ouirgane National Park, with gentler terrain featuring copper green soil and juniper trees. You will head towards Tinzert village, which offers a beautiful view of the Ouirgan Valley where you will enjoy your first lunch in the Atlas mountains. In the afternoon, you will take a leisurely walk down a great small valley leading towards Marigha village through the olive groves before settling in for the night at Ouirgane Ecolodge or similar. The total walking time for the day will be around 5-6 hours.
Following breakfast, your trek will continue through the olive groves with a gradual ascent towards the stunning Azzaden Valley. As you cross over into the valley, breathtaking views will open up before you. Your expert guide and skilled cook will find a picturesque location for you to enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, you’ll follow the course of the river through the valley, passing by several small, traditional Berber villages before finally reaching Ait Aissa at 1860m. You will spend the night at the comfortable Azzaden Trekking Lodge or similar. This portion of the trek is expected to take approximately 5 to 6 hours with an ascent of 760m.
On this day, you’ll embark on a 5-7 hour trek that takes you up the Azzaden Valley, passing through the village of Tizi Oussem and the summer village of Tamsoult. A side trip will be made to see the largest waterfalls in the Toubkal National Park. After visiting the falls, you’ll continue on the path that leads to the Ait Mizan Valley via Tizi Mzzik, which is at an elevation of 2500m and provides stunning views of the villages of Imlil and the Atlas mountain range. The final part of the trek involves descending down to Imlil, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing cup of mint tea and will spend the night at the comfortable Dar Adrar Guesthouse or similar.
The trek today will take you on a circular route through the picturesque Imnane valley. Starting from Imlil (1,740m), you’ll head towards the Tamatert Valley and cross over the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,279m), offering stunning views of the Imnane valley. You’ll then descend to the Berber village of Tinerhourhine and follow winding mule trails through the charming villages of Ikkis and Amssakrou, where you can admire the terraced Berber hamlets clinging to the mountainsides. After enjoying a picnic lunch with spectacular views of Jbel Oukaimeden (3,268m), you’ll make your way towards the Tizi n’Aguersioual Pass (1,767m) and descend back into the Imlil valley. The trek will end with a transfer back to Marrakech, and the entire journey will take approximately 6 to 7 hours, with 789m ascent and 929m descent.
