As you pass through Berber villages, you’ll get a glimpse of their unique way of life and culture. Once you reach the desert, you’ll see the contrast of riverside oases and barren hillsides dotted with kasbahs, which are fortified dwellings that house families and their livestock.

Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the palmery by going on a hike, surrounded by large date palms and lush greenery.
After lunch, you’ll continue your journey further into the desert towards the gateway town of Merzouga, where you’ll stop to pick up supplies for your desert trip. From there, you’ll drive to a kasbah where you’ll meet your camel and begin your desert trek.
As the sun begins to set, you’ll ride on camelback for an hour-and-a-half to reach a Berber camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars. You’ll have the option to sleep outside in a tent, or choose to experience sleeping under the stars, surrounded by the beautiful desert landscape.
This day will involve a total of six hours of driving, but the breathtaking views of the Todra Gorge and the unique experience of riding a camel through the desert make it a journey worth taking. Get ready for an unforgettable evening under the stars in the beautiful Merzouga desert!
On the final day of the tour, you will wake up before sunrise to embark on a 1 hour and 30 minute camel ride to further explore the stunning desert landscape at dawn. Once you return to Merzouga, you will have breakfast and the opportunity to freshen up with a shower. Then, the journey back to Marrakech begins, taking you through the stony desert and over the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photos, to explore and to have lunch. The drive back to Marrakech is a long one, taking around 10 hours, with the usual arrival time between 17:00 and 18:00 in the evening.
